The Defias Blog

The Defias Blog started out as the first blog attempt from someone who hates blogs and blogging in general. At first, it was to be a fun chronicle of one EVE-Online pirate’s shot at building an in-game corporation. It would be open to all of that corporation’s members and would be more of a ‘group’ thing than one person’s blog.

As it turned out, there would be only one post from someone other than myself (I’m a Carebear, by Shan) and over the course of a year, it’s become more of a personal MMO blog with both chronicles presented in-character and discussion/opinion articles which are anything but in-character!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the folks who have read and commented on my blog over the last 12 months. It’s made the whole thing more fun for me and introduced me to a whole list of blogs that I actually do enjoy reading!


The Defias Brotherhood is a fictional, player-run corporation existing within the game EVE-Online. The Defias Brotherhood was originally an NPC entity within the World of Warcraft MMORPG. DFIAS’ founders played (in some cases, still play) WoW for quite some time before moving to EVE-Online, and wanted to make an outward statement of their MMO roots, so to speak. Just as WoW’s Defias Brotherhood was made up of carpenters, masons and other craftsmen (industrialists) who had been wronged, so too were DFIAS’ founding members originally industrialists before creating this martial EVE corporation.

DFIAS is currently on "Hiatus"; the date of its return has not been determined. In the meantime, Havohej continues to fly the New Eden skies. However, instead of running his own corporation, he’s flying with Comply Or Die corporation as a part of the G00DFELLAS alliance.
