¶ It’s a common story, this: capsuleer flies about in a bit of spare time looking to do a public service for the local sovereign government, finds numerous cargo containers full of discarded tonnage, and transfers it to his own cargo containers with the intention of disposing of it in a responsible fashion when some overly aggressive git opens fire. This happened to me just yesterday.
¶ I had some business in Empire, so I had a corpmate pod me to my med clone in Gulfonodi instead of flying the 50 jumps back from G-B3PR. I quickly took care of what needed taking care of and had a few rolls of blueprints, blueprint copies and a skillbook or twenty all boxed up and ready to fly back down to Omist in my Stiletto which also needed to be moved to nullsec space. Having gotten everything together, though, I figured that having not been in the Minmatar Republic for such a long time, I was long overdue in my community service.

This is a video that I found embedded on CrazyKinux’s Musing. It shows a Drake mired down in countless webs and warp scramblers, battling it out with NPC police. He came, he saw, he shot ‘em down until he ran out of F.O.F. missiles (faction police jam you, too) and then he slowboated back to the gate and jumped out of the system with the Gallente Federation even more pissed off at him. The point here is the Drake’s CRAZY tank.
NOTE: These are not CONCORD Police, these are Gallente Federation Police. When your standings drop below a certain point with a given faction, that faction’s police NPCs will attack you as soon as you enter a highsec system. Fighting these faction Police does not get you CONCORDed. …I wouldn’t want to hear about any of you taking your pimped out Drakes into Bille like this guy did and trying to fight CONCORD. It just won’t work out well for you.

The following was originally posted by a player named consider telos, of Rionnag Alba Corporation, from Triumvirate. Alliance on the Eve-Online General Discussion Forum in a thread titled Advanced EVE Pointers. The entire thread is full of information that EVERY noob needs to know about EVE (Everyone vs. Everyone) Online, but that so many never learn until it’s too late. As the title suggests, though, some of the information contained there might be more useful to novice-intermediate pilots as 1-day-old noobs won’t have any idea what the posters are referring to. Here is consider telos’ post in its original form; I have not edited it other than to apply bold text to certain points which I wanted to emphasize.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’08,
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, polycarbs would be it. The long term benefits of polycarbs have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience… I will dispense this advice now.

¶ Over the last two weeks, The Defias Brotherhood has been on a mad dash to raise ISK. Why? Well, because last month when I first arrived in Omist as a new member of VENOM Alliance, the first thing I did was check the region’s contracts. I’d seen tons of great bargains on the contract market before, but they’d always been in deep-space 0.0 somewhere where I couldn’t dock even if I could get there, and I damn sure wouldn’t have been able to fly out with my goods. So now that I would have no problems, I wanted to see what was there to be had. A quick glance at the market details for the region showed that buying 5 Caracal-class cruisers for 20M ISK was a great bargain, so I scooped those up for the corporation. Then I found a contract auctioning off a Domination Control Tower Medium with a starting bid of 220M and no buyout.

¶ It’s been a hell of a long time since I chronicled the progression of my corporation’s development in EVE, and I apologize for that. So much has been happening, and so quickly, that I’ve been kept pretty busy. And when I have had time to make an entry, the things that I would have to write about have been of such a sensitive nature that they couldn’t be spoken of so publicly.
¶ That said, I will do my best to bring anyone who has been watching this blog develop up to speed. Note that any inaccuracies or vague statements are due to my not being able to disclose every detail for security reasons.
