Posted by: Havohej : Category: ¶ Alright, so… Readers of this blog already have an idea of how DFIAS has progressed, from High Security empire space, to Low Sec, to Zero Sec with alliances. Venom was established, but was very poorly run. Anthrax Death was a start-up outfit relying heavily on GoonSwarm to ensure its existence. But the fragile nature of such an existence is evidenced often by threads like this: Anthrax Death Eviction Notice by Zapawork, GoonSwarm diplomat.
¶ When we left ANTX to join DEFI4NT, it was with the understanding that DEFY was to be led by ms kypp and that it would be a PvP alliance working toward its own goals. In my last entry, Ambition, I explained why this did not work out. The alliance we joined, Code Red Alliance, didn’t work out much better…

¶ A series of events has taken place in the last month that has changed the way I look at things, and in doing so, has nearly completely changed the way The Defias Brotherhood is administered. I have thought deeply about why this is the case; DFIAS has experienced hardships in the past but I did not change and so DFIAS did not change. The simple answer is ambition.

¶ I’m not dead yet. To the contrary, in fact. And I’ve finally been able to get away from the training simulators to fly an actual ship and fire my weapons in anger. Between training and politics (both within Anthrax Death alliance and without), I just haven’t been able to find the time to do much of anything, let alone record my experiences here.
¶ Tonight, though, I managed to get some pod time in flying first a Wolf, then my old Stabber (which I’d forgotten about), and then a couple of Stiletto-class interceptors.
¶ Far be it from me to ever say that I’m better than someone at a given thing - unless I am. And it’s patently unheard-of for me to say I’m the best - again, unless I am. And yet, during my time with VENOM Alliance, I heard people say those very things of themselves and of that alliance… even though deep down, in their heart of hearts, they knew it wasn’t true. They knew so well, in fact, that it wasn’t true, that they played this game with their killboards one night called “Let’s edit all the killmails so that instead of showing that 3 -A- nanoHACs and one Recon came into D2EZ-X, our current HQ system, and raped us, tallying 44 kills and no losses, they’ll all list the location as “Classified, 0.0.”
¶ I don’t know why they thought this would work, though… surely they knew that Against ALL Authorities would have their own killboard which wouldn’t be so coy about the location of the “battle“. As I watched this unfold on the regional intel channel, I was embarrassed to have been a part of VENOM at all. But ANTX had never been tested, as we didn’t hold anything worth attacking so we didn’t hold anything worth defending. Last night, I had the privilege of participating in a defense of D2EZ-X.
¶ It’s been a hell of a long time since I chronicled the progression of my corporation’s development in EVE, and I apologize for that. So much has been happening, and so quickly, that I’ve been kept pretty busy. And when I have had time to make an entry, the things that I would have to write about have been of such a sensitive nature that they couldn’t be spoken of so publicly.
¶ That said, I will do my best to bring anyone who has been watching this blog develop up to speed. Note that any inaccuracies or vague statements are due to my not being able to disclose every detail for security reasons.
