MAX

It’s generally not my intention to talk about things I’m not directly involved in. However, this last week has been uneventful for DFIAS other than that we lost a Hurricane, Jaguar and two Thoraxes to Beyond Divinity Inc, a two-bit ‘pirate’ corporation that bases out of Oddelulf in Molden Heath. Not much to tell there, they had a Curse, Zealot and Hyperion, the Curse neuted our Jag to slow it down and the drones ate it, then both Thoraxes proved too slow to catch and web the Curse and having seen Zealots fly just as fast as the 3km/sec that the Curse was pulling, I decided to try to pop the Hyperion – go down swinging, as it were. Didn’t work.
Anyway, not much news about DFIAS, no exciting personal exploits, but the North is on fire right now! So much going on there that I can’t not address it in this chronicle. It all started with a CAOD address by SirMolle…

The Eye of the Storm – by Havohej

It’s been a hell of a long time since I chronicled the progression of my corporation’s development in EVE, and I apologize for that. So much has been happening, and so quickly, that I’ve been kept pretty busy. And when I have had time to make an entry, the things that I would have to write about have been of such a sensitive nature that they couldn’t be spoken of so publicly.
That said, I will do my best to bring anyone who has been watching this blog develop up to speed. Note that any inaccuracies or vague statements are due to my not being able to disclose every detail for security reasons.

Fly to the Rhythm of the War Drums – by Havohej

A semi-up-to-date political map of the EVE-Universe.I think that by the time you’ve got 5 hours of flight time in EVE-Online, every capsuleer knows that there’s a war going on. Everybody knows that the tens of thousands of pilots involved in this struggle, and the sheer vastness of the territory being held and contested by the four main powerblocs (The Southern Coalition, The Northern Coalition, The Alliance, and Superfriends), means that even if you’re not fighting in this war yourself, you are affected by it. This war, and the territory (and therefor resources) being fought over have a universal effect on the EVE-Online in-game market. Issuesin gameplay and balance that arise during this conflict lead to nerfs that effect all players (drone nerf, nos nerf, nanonerf, what else?).
Last night, I flew for my first time in a large fleet op that was organized with the sole intent of doing a little damage in the Great War in the name of VENOM Alliance and the Southern Coalition.
